Pacific Islands Climate Change Virtual Library

The Pacific Islands Climate Change Virtual Library (http://pigcos.soest.hawaii.edu/piccp/joomla), an online resource for climate information and tools has been released. The interactive site is designed to help coastal managers in the Pacific Islands incorporate climate information and tools into their decision making processes, improving the resilience of their communities to climate change impacts.

Find resources to:

· Learn about climate change

· Map and model climate impacts

· Assess vulnerability

· Conduct outreach

· Adapt to climate variability and change

Share information on conferences and workshops, funding opportunities, lessons learned, and participate in a virtual discussion in the Forum.

The site was developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Central Library, Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, Coastal Services Center, and Pacific Services Center in cooperation with the National Oceanographic Data Center, Pacific Climate Information System, coastal managers in American Samoa and Samoa, University of Hawaii School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology, and other partners in the Pacific Islands. The project was supported by a grant from the NOS International Coordinating Council (NICC), which is managed by the NOS International Program Office.
